The Licensing Specialist position is part of a team that is responsible for maintaining and renewing all consumer lending and credit insurance licenses as well as preparing regulatory applications and related filings in support of new state and product expansions. This position is based out of our corporate headquarters office in Baton Rouge, LA and will have a Hybrid work schedule. Job responsibilities are as follows: Help prepare, complete, and timely submit all required documentation to obtain, maintain, or renew consumer lending licenses to state regulatory agencies. Help prepare, complete, and timely submit all required documentation to obtain, maintain, or renew credit insurance licenses for the company or individual employees to state regulatory agencies and/or other third parties Investigate federal, state, or local licensing requirements. Interact with internal and external parties to support the proper licensing of all the company’s products at all its branches as well as at any other locations that may also require licensing. Work with internal or external counsel on various regulatory topics. Maintain department databases, logs, records, and files. Ability to effectively communicate with multiple internal partners and/or external parties to complete key organizational projects from beginning to end to achieve the desired results by the required deadlines. Ability to coordinate small projects, assist with special projects, and other duties as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience. Resourceful and inquisitive attitude with an ability to analyze structured and unstructured data from disparate sources and develop conclusions. Ability to take ownership of your work product and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced work environment Trustworthiness and ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality. Dedicated team-player, creative and strategic problem solver with the ability to influence and build positive relationships. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively; ability to work under pressure without compromising quality. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat DC. Added Plus: Knowledge of and experience using the National Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) database.
