onsemi located in East Fishkill, NY seeks an experienced Facilities Electrical System Engineer.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for ongoing operations, as well as working on the design, construction, and startup of onsemi electrical systems in support of our wafer fabrication facility.

• Some further duties as an Electrical Engineer are to reliably and efficiently perform on a team to operate, and maintain, all switchgear, load centers, starters, their associated subsystems supporting a semiconductor manufacturing facility and all other buildings within the campus.

• These systems include, 13.2kV Distribution Switchgear, 4160V, 480V & 208V Substations, 208V Load Centers, Emergency Generators, 4160V & 480V Motor Starters, and all associated Distribution, Breakers, Transformers, Relaying, and Trip Devices.

• Proper use in Personal/Personnel, and Equipment Safety Procedures and Practices are Paramount.

• Work with the maintenance team (both electrical and inter-discipline) and ensure constant uptime of all electrical systems by coordinating maintenance, repair, and system improvement activities.

• Provide design support on facility and infrastructure design projects under close supervision from more senior staff.

• Interface closely with design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet operational electrical needs, ensure maintainability of electrical systems, ensure smooth startups of electrical systems that timely are seamless to fab operations.

• Perform troubleshooting guidance on 600V and under wiring systems such as: VFDs, motors, starters, substation circuit breakers, panel mounted circuits, etc.

• Keeps proper engineering files and records.

• Develops understanding of industry codes and standards.

• Organizes own work to meet project deadlines.
