Senior S3D Specialist / Developer

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall application development, customization and configuration of Hexagon's Smart 3D, SmartSketch

  • Setting up and administration of multi-discipline detailed design projects using SP3D (Smart Plant 3D CAD database) and other 3D tools

  • Define and apply security groups’ permissions

  1. 3D Symbol Development2. Load and Customize Hangers and Supports3. Customization of new Name rule4. Custom command development5. SQL and Oracle Server Expertise6. Create procedures and functions in SQL7. SQL report customization for catalogue and Model

  • Integration between S3D and SPPID (Smart Plant P & ID database) and other 2D to Structural Macros development for different types of connections

  • Isogen customization and configuration

  1. New View style development2. Prepare and load SP Items3. Prepare and load Instruments4. Setup SPR (Smart Plant Review) / DGN (drawing / deliverable format derived from Micro Station Software) Export reports5. Setup 3D Reference models6. Setup of IFC (Issued For Construction) codeless rules and customization
  • User Training for SP3D
  1. Database maintenance2. Database integrity3. Create new custom Interference4. Schedule daily backup and reports5. Must be aware about MDR (Master Document Register)Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Graduate Degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience

  • Skills required for this job are typically acquired through working on a similar position and at least 10+ Years of SP3D (Smart Plant 3D CAD database) development experience

  • Smart Plant 3D, Smart Sketch, Smart Plant Review and other associated S3D application and customization and development, Micro Station, AutoCAD

  • Possess Leadership & decision-making skills

  • Good communication skills, Strong facilitation, analytical and design skills - problem solver

  • Ability to prioritize and organize support activities and deliver multiple tasks

  • Personable, confident with excellent communication skills

  • Experience of other BIM packages, Oracle DB, Visual Basic DB advantageous
