Job Description:

We’re looking for a Health and Safety Specialist to join our Facilities Management team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to be r esponsible in planning, strategize and implement Occupational Safety and Health policies and programs in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Health and Safety Manager in developing the company’s Safety and Health Policy to ensure alignment and consistency with local laws, guidelines and procedures set up by Department of Labor and Employment and Bureau of Working Conditions.

  • Assist in planning the implementation of Health & Safety, Active Lifestyle, and Mental Health component of the company’s wellness program in coordination with the wellness program manager, including OSH workplace policies (TB/HIV/ Hepatitis B prevention/ Drugfree), H&S awareness campaigns and vaccination drives

  • Conduct daily safety and health checking in the facility

  • Promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and regulatory compliance

  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by Health and Safety Manager from time to time related to the safety and health in the workplace

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any bachelor's degree

  • With at least 2-3 years work experience as Safety Officer or equivalent. Experience in a BPO industry set-up is desirable.

  • Must be accredited as Safety Officer 2 (SO2) level

  • Must have completed the BOSH training (40 hours). Completion of other OSH-related trainings/ certifications is desirable.

  • Must be willing to work in Lapu-Lapu city and willing to work on night shift schedule. Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)
